Our concrete cast solutions are engineered for strength and durability, providing reliable support for efficient effluent management. Manufactured on site at our workshop and designed to withstand the toughest farm conditions, our concrete platforms, tanks, and channels ensure long-lasting performance, helping protect your land and meet compliance standards.
Effluent sumps play a critical role in managing farm effluent. Collecting and storing effluent for irrigation to occur straight from the sump, and transferring effluent to your storage on the days when irrigation can not occur, reduces the volume of effluent storage needed on farm. Therefore making effluent sumps a practical solution to your farming infrastruture. At Williams Effluent Solutions, we offer customised and tailored sump solutions to meet your specific needs, whether it be a standard Bowers 25,000 litre open topped sump or a custom made Williams effluent sump.
Anti-floatation foot: Prevents the sump from rising out of the ground, providing long-term stability.
Customisable options: Available in sizes ranging from 25m3, with options of a Williams custom made sump up to 480m3, with further custom sizes available.
Pump flexibility: Choose between a floating pump or a long shaft pump, based on your specific effluent needs.
Effluent stone traps are vital for protecting your effluent system allowing sand and stones to drop out of your pump. Stone Traps are designed to capture solid particles and debris present in dairy farm effluent. This helps prevent these solids from entering and clogging downstream components of the effluent system, such as pipes and pumps. By removing stones and larger particles, the stone trap helps prevent blockages in the effluent management system. This is important for maintaining the efficiency and functionality of the entire system. Stone Traps contribute to the protection of pumps, agitators, and other equipment by preventing abrasive or damaging materials from reaching and causing wear on the machinery. With fewer solid particles reaching and potentially damaging equipment, the need for maintenance and repairs is reduced. This can result in cost savings for the dairy farm over time. At Williams Effluent Solutions, we offer durable and easy-to-maintain stone traps, customisable to fit your farm’s needs. Choose from our reliable Bower or MooPoo options for seamless effluent management.
Prevents blockages: Effectively removes sand and stone debris to protect your system.
Durable design: Built tough for long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance.
Customisable options: Available in Bower and Moopoo varieties, tailored to your farm’s unique requirements.
Designed, manufactured, and installed by Williams, this double-chamber stone trap is a simple, effective solution for removing solids, sand, and debris from effluent systems. Effluent enters from the top, flows through the primary chamber, then into the secondary chamber before exiting, maximising settling time and separation efficiency.
The flat floor helps solids settle and stay at the bottom for easy cleanout. The system performs especially well in flood wash and feed pad setups, where fibrous material absorbs and releases water during flow, resulting in drier, easier-to-handle effluent.
Built with simplicity in mind, this is a no-moving-parts system with no mechanical risk, just reliable, low-maintenance performance. Traps are usually emptied twice a year with a loader, digger, or telehandler and spread back onto land for nutrient recovery.
Dual-chamber design for maximum solids separation, with top-entry inlet and outlet slows flow and traps debris together with a sloped floor for better settlement and easy cleanout
Simple to maintain, emptied with standard farm gear and with proven performance in flood wash and feed pad systems. Built with no moving parts there is no mechanical risk or breakdowns.
Custom built to suit your farm layout and effluent volume.
MooPoo bunkers provide a reliable solution for storing effluent solids on a sealed surface before they are spread on your land, helping you manage trap cleanings effectively and keep your farm tidy. Williams MooPoo Bunkers are built to handle at least 12 months of stone trap cleanings, giving you significant capacity without the need for frequent emptying. With ample storage space, the system runs more efficiently while reducing labour costs linked to regular maintenance. Williams Effluent Solutions offers customised installation of effluent bunkers tailored to your farm’s needs.
Robust construction: Built to withstand the demands of daily farm operations, ensuring long-term durability.
Secure containment: Keeps solid effluent safely stored, preventing runoff and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Customisable size: Available in a variety of sizes to match your farm’s effluent output and storage requirements.
We’ve installed a number of Weeping Walls across different farms, and the feedback has been the same every time – they just work. Farmers tell us the non-mechanical design gives them real peace of mind, with no moving parts to check or fix and no daily hassles. Working in conjunction with a feedpad, they’re an ideal solution, keeping solids out of the system and leaving green water that’s easy to pump and reuse. This not only removes the need for stirrers in your pond but also reduces the strain on irrigators and pumps. At Williams Effluent Solutions, we’ve seen first-hand how reliable and effective Weeping Walls are, and we tailor every installation to fit your farm’s needs.
Natural filtration: Uses gravity to separate solids from liquid, reducing the need for mechanical intervention.
Low maintenance: Once installed, weeping walls require minimal upkeep, making them a hassle-free solution.
Improved effluent quality: Helps reduce solid build-up, enhancing the performance of your pump and irrigator.
Flood wash systems offer an efficient way to manage effluent on your feedpad by using recycled greenwater. The surge of effluent creates liquid flow paths that help separate and move waste, leaving behind drier sump solids. This makes daily feedpad management simpler, reducing the time and effort needed to keep the area clean. By reusing effluent already stored on-farm, flood wash systems cut down the need for fresh water and help keep storage volumes under control. At Williams Effluent Solutions, we provide expert installation to ensure your flood wash system runs smoothly, supporting a cleaner, more efficient feedpad operation.
Time-efficient cleaning: High-volume greenwater flow quickly clears large areas, reducing the need for manual labour.
Effluent management: Effectively moves effluent to storage or treatment systems, promoting smoother system operation.
Water efficiency: Designed to use greenwater efficiently, helping recycle effluent across different area of your farm, supporting sustainability goals.
Through years of experience, we know that underpasses can be one of the most challenging parts of effluent management. Our approach is simple: dilution is the solution. Whether you’re working with a new or existing underpass, we provide practical, proven systems that make the job easier for your staff and keep your farm looking managed. We design and recommend wash water systems that make regular cleaning efficient and straightforward, using the right pumps and infrastructure to match your needs. Because underpasses often run beneath public roads, it’s important to have a clear management plan in place – both for staff to follow and to ensure a tidy, well-maintained appearance. It’s not the most glamorous job on the farm, but with the right system in place, it can be quick, safe, and stress-free. That’s why farmers call us
