Project

As part of a farm infrastructure upgrade, Hamish Hancock sought a robust and practical effluent system that would cover a large area efficiently, reduce labour input, and maximise the number of irrigation days throughout the season. With a total of 64 hectares requiring reliable coverage, the system needed to support strong pump performance while offering flexibility and ease of use for farm staff.

What we did

To meet the needs of this large-scale system, the following components were installed:

  • 110mm Effluent Mainline: Trench-installed throughout the property, the 110mm pipework ensures minimal head loss over long distances. This allows the pump to perform more efficiently, maintaining consistent pressure and flow across the entire irrigated area.
  • Williams 3-Way Riser Hydrants: These durable and easy-to-use hydrants were strategically placed to give the farm team flexible access points across the property, reducing the time and effort required to move the irrigator.
  • Williams GB Magnum Travelling Irrigator: Known for its low application depth, the GB Magnum allows for more irrigation days throughout the season. This feature helps to maintain consistent effluent dispersal, even during wetter periods, while reducing the risk of runoff or soil damage.
